Our Activities

I.C.E shall undertake the following activities, among others, in service of cultural preservation, community advocacy, and the dignity of the Itsekiri people.

1. Educational Forums

• Cultural exhibitions in state and city libraries
• A biennial Itsekiri cultural fair
• Guided cultural tours to the Itsekiri homeland in coastal Delta State

2. Community Engagement

• Participation in community events throughout Greater Boston
• Annual holiday toy drives for underprivileged children

3. Civic Engagement

• Education and empowerment of Itsekiri Iwere individuals on U.S. voting rights and the electoral process

4. Census Participation

• Education on full and accurate participation in the U.S. Census every 10 years

5. Program Exchange

• Cultural and social exchange programs between Massachusetts and coastal Delta State
• Support initiatives for individuals with disabilities and orphans
• Information sharing on business and economic opportunities in Itsekiri land

6. Fundraising Initiatives

I.C.E supports its charitable and humanitarian mission through lawful fundraising activities, including:

• Seasonal raffle ticket sales and prize drawings
• Tax-exempt donations, in compliance with U.S. tax laws and applicable donor eligibility requirements
